2016 began with more gantries for both our fabrication and erection teams. On the shop floor work on various gantries ramped up, with a number of projects programmed for the first half of the year. These include structures for the M1 Junction 19, M3 Junctions 2a to 4, M25 Junction 30 (A13).
On the erection side of things as well as installing several ADS structures on the M3, the team were kept busy erecting three portal gantries over three respective nights on the M25 at Junction 30 (as above). This involved the use of our new four axle triple extending trailer.
As January drew to a close Nusteel gathered to honour Nusteel’s Welding Inspector Stewart Meacher who, after 39 years of service had decided to retire (as below left). Stewart was both surprised and touched at how many of us were there to wish him well and we’re sure he’ll have lots of happy memories from his time with Nusteel as we have of him. Taking over from Stewart is our John Groves, who has been a welder with Nusteel for many years. We wish both Stewart and John good luck in their new roles.
